CLOSING STATEMENT
Teaching has always been a calling for me. Ever since I was a young girl, I always knew that it was what I was meant to do. I would spend countless hours in the basement with my chalkboard and my imaginary students, picturing the day that I would be able to reach my dream. On snow days, PD days, sick days even, I would find myself in my mom’s classroom, entranced by her teaching and her abilities. I only hoped that one day I would be able to become half the teacher that she was.

The last two years in the Bachelor of Education program have been a surreal experience. I have learned more than I ever thought possible and although I walked in, knowing that I was chosen to do this job, I have walked out even more certain that this is exactly what I am meant to be doing. I am a passionate, empathetic, team-player who is committed to continuing my learning journey to better myself, in order to benefit my students.

Every student is capable, and I have made it my mission to ensure that they are aware of that. I am committed to ensuring the success of each of my students and providing them with the support, knowledge and opportunities that they need. I was blessed with teachers who never gave up on their students, who encouraged them to reach for the stars and be who and what they want to be. I strive to be just like them.
